The Federal Bureau of Prisons is requesting non-personal services for a Dental Hygienist. The solicitation packages will be available on July 30, 1996 with an anticipated bid opening on or about Sept 2, 1996. The successful bidder will be responsible for Dental Hygienist services being professional in nature, as provided in the method as considered normal in the local community. They will be responsible for taking impressions pouring casts, cleaning, x-rays, applying fluorides, oral hygiene instructions to inmates, removal of sutures, place and removal of dressings, etc to inmate patients. Services are requested for a six hour day two days a week. The successful bidder must have a minimum of 2 years college, equivalent to an associate degree in applied science. The resulting contract will be a one year contract, starting October 1, 1996 through September 30, 1997. Additionally, the successful bidder will be required to pass a background investigation.
