The solicitation packages will be available on July 30, 1996 with an anticipated bid opening on or about Sept 2, 1996. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing dietitian services, being professional in nature, will be provided in a method as considered normal in the local community. They will be responsible for directing the diet program, counseling inmate patients on diets, such as diabetic, hypertension, cardiac, ulcer and nutrition. They will also observe preparation procedures in the Food Service Department, giving constructive recommendations in these preparations. The contractor must have a degree in nutrition with a current license to practice. The resulting contract will be a one year contract, starting October 1, 1996 through September 30, 1997. Additionally, the successful bidder will be required to pass a background investigation. This acquisition is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
