QUALITY MANAGEMENT IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE WRITTEN COMMENTS REQUESTED TO ASSIST PROCURING OFFICE IN STREAMLINING NEW SOLICITATION POC Jeffrey Manthos, (703) 305-6085. General Services Administration, FSS, FCXA 1941 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Crystal Mall Bldg 4, Room 507, Arlington, VA 22202. The General Services Administration is preparing a new solicitation as a follow-up to the Quality Management Implementation Services Schedule. The scope will encompass methodologies and techniques consistent with the systemwide approach embodied in the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Methodologies and techniques could include but are not limited to: business process reengineering; benchmarking; organizational and climate assessments; customer surveys and analysis; strategic planning and performance measurement development; workforce design and simplification; continuous improvement tools and related training. In order to gain a wide perspective of user's needs as well as to obtain a better understanding on industry advancements, focus groups are being organized. Focus groups will be held in July and August and will represent both industry and government. These focus groups will assist the GSA in identifying the types of services and products for inclusion in the schedule which are consistent with current and emerging industry practices necessary to promote high performing organizations within the Federal Government. Any comments and/or suggestions on these issues as well as suggestions to streamline the evaluation process may be made to GSA/FSS/FCXA in writing no later than August 1, 1996 to either the address above, by fax (703) 305-5094, or e-mail via internet to Jeffrey.Manthos@GSA.gov. This is not a request for offers, capability statements or marketing materials. Announcement will be made in the CBD for the solicitation at a later date.
