619-532-2355. PRESOLICITATION NOTICE - The work includes the following
specific sites: SITE 1: Installation of 8' high fence and gate as
shown on Drawing C-1; SITE 2: Slope repair erosion control
construction, south of Veternary Hospital: 1) Clearing, tree removal,
and disposal as shown on drawing C-2, 2) Sawcut, demolition and removal
of existing AC pavement and AC berm as shown on Drawing C-2; 2)
Realignment of existing sewer line to include demolition and
reconstruction of sewer line; 4) Excavation, filling, grading, and
erosion control, as shown on Drawing C-3; 5) Construction of 9'' AC
berm per detail as shown on the prject drawings; 6) Installion of
cellular confinement system as shown on the project drawings; 7)
Installation of landscaping and irrigation as shown per the project
drawings, and 8) Landscape and irrigation system maintenance during the
specified mainatenance period; SITE 3: Erosion control at slope near
Base Commander's Residence: 1) Clearing, tree removal, and disposal as
shown on Drawing C-5; 2) Sawcut demolition removal, and disposal of
existing wall drainage opening as shown on Drawing C-5; 3) Construction
of 24' wide by 12'' deep semicircular drainage ditch shall be a shown
on Drawing C-6; 4) Construction of drainage ditch transition and rock
drainage ditch as shown on Drawing C-6; 5) Construction of wall
drainage opening as shown on Drawing C-6; 6) Minor grading as shown on
Drawing C-6; Installation of landscaping as shown on the project
drawings; 7) Landscape maintenance during the specified maintenance
period; SITE 4: Slope repair/erosion control installation and ditch
repair West Rosecrans Street and Sylvester Road: 1) Clearing, removal
an disposal as shown the Drawing C-8; 2) Demolition and removal (by
hand methods) of existing drainage ditch as shown on drawings; 3)
Repair of existing slope wash-out by filling and minor grading as shown
on Drawing C-9; 4) Regrading of existing ditch area to establish grade;
5) Construction of 36'' wide by 18'' deep semicircular drainage
ditches, down-drain and down-drain transition, and splash walls as
shown on the project drawings; 6) Construction of 24'' wide by 12''
deep semicircular drainage ditch per detail on Drawing C-9; 7)
Regarding of existing roadway slope area to redirect flows to existing
parking lot; 8) Sawcut, demolition and removal of existing concrete
crub and asphalt pavement; 9) Construction of integral curb/slough well
details on the project drawings, 10) Construction of drainage structure
per details on the project drawings; 11) Placement of erosion control
system and installation of landscaping per project drawings; 12)
Landscape maintenance during the specified maintenance period; SITE 5:
Slope repair/erosion control installation south of Hazardous waste
Collection Building 375 and Bunker #73 Building 630; 1) Clearing and
disposal as shown on Drawing C-11; 2) Regarding of existing road to
establish grades along existing road as shown on Drawing C-12; 3)
Placement of erosion control and installation of landscaping as shown
on the project drawings; SITE 6: Slope repair/erosion control
installation adjacent to San Diego Bay east of Resecrans Street and
Sylvester Road; 2) Scarifying and excavation of existing surface; 3)
Grading of existing slopes; 4) Installation of cellular confinement
wall system and riprap along toe of slope as shown on the project
drawings; 5) Placement of erosion control and installation of
landscaping per the project drawings; 6) Landscaping maintenance during
the specified maintenance period, and incidental related work complete
and ready for use.--The estimated cost is $250,000 and $500,000. --
Firm Fixed Price Contract. -- Contract duration is approximately 180
calendar days. -- This proposed contract will be unrestricted.--The
Standard Industrial Code is 1629 and the annual size standard is $17
million. It is recommended the subcontracting goals reflect a minimum
goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business Subcontracting effort.
Bidders should request in writing stating IFB number N68711-95-B-7731,
with complete name, address, area code and phone number and whether
bidding as a prime/subcontractor/supplier.--Telephone requests will not
be accepted.--There will be a charge for plans and specs that is yet to

check per project.--Solicitation packages are limited to two (2) sets

responding under this advertisement will not be required to resubmit
request once formally advertised.--Tentative issue date is on or about
13 AUGUST 1996 with an opening date of approximately 30 days later
(NOTE: BOD stated above is TENTATIVE).--Responses are due no later than
15 calendar days after publication of the advertisement in the CBD.
