The proposed contract is unrestricted. Project will include the demolition of 54 family housing units and the design and construction of 54 housing units, and will utilize turnkey design/construction procurement procedures. Units will include garages and patios, kitchen ranges, refrigerators, washers, dryers, garbage disposals, dishwashers and hard-wired interconnected smoke detectors, etc. Supporting facilities include underground utilities and information systems, street lights, paving, walks, curbs, gutters, open play areas and landscaping. At least 5% of units will be handicapped accessible/modifiable. The estimated cost of the proposed project is between 5 million and $10 million. Solicitation to be issued o/a August 16, 1996. Documents to be available at $79.00 per set of specifications and full-size drawings. Single copies of specifications alone may be purchased by interested applicants for $17.00.
