Z -- IDIQ ROOF REVISION SOL F41636-96-B0010 POC JOHNIE JOHNSON tel: 210/671-1732/JOANN HERNANDEZ DESCRIPTION: All work is to be done in accordance with drawings and specifications. Work includes but is not limited to the following principal items: (1) Construct, install, replace and repair roofing on miscellaneous type facilities up to three stories high at Lackland AFB and Lackland Annex. A limited amount of work could be on a 10-story medical facility and in Military Family Housing. Roof type includes but is not limited to steel metal systems (standing seam roofs, simulated tile and factory formed prefinished sealed seam steel roofing over low slopes), 20-year warrantable hot and cold applied built-up roofing systems, modified bitumen systems and asphalt shingles. Full systems are defined as complete warrantable systems incuding all fasteners, insulation, base sheets and flashings. Some applications could be for uninsulated roll roofing and strip shingles. (2) Some repair of steel concrete and wood decks. (3) Sheet metal work which will consist of fabrication/repair of fascias, gutters, downpipes and miscellaneous custom sheet metal items. (4) A limited amount of lead and asbestos abatement and disposal involvng painted wood and metal surfaces and transite soffits and siding at the roof line could be encountered. (5) Painting of wood and metal, application of elastomeric coatings, (6) Erection of structural steel tubing roof/canopy supports on concrete footings and (7) Installation of vertical metal panels. The contract is to have one basic year and three option years. The guaranteed minimum amount is $25,000 for the basic year and $25,000 for each option year. The magnitude of the Basic Contract and each option period is between $1M and $5M. Performance period for the basic year and each option period is 365 calendar days. Telephonic responses will not be honored. Solicitation should be issued during August 1996 with a bid opening scheduled for approximately 30 days after issuance.
