The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, tools, labor, equipment, permits, license, testing, certifications and supervision to construct the ''Install Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems in Building 100, Project 544-95-112, located at the Veterans' Medical Center in Columbia, SC 29209-1639 in accordance with the construction drawings, specifications, and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes and Standards. The work includes but is not limited to general construction, modifications, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, and necessary removal of existing equipment. Qualified contractor shall at a minimum be licensed and have satisfactorily installed fire sprinkler systems similar in scope and nature to the drawings and specifications in a minimum of one Veterans' Hospital and two additional hospitals, engaged in the installation of automatic fire sprinkler systems for the past five years, engaged in the installation of fire pump systems for the past five years and have successfully completed a minimum of two retrofit sprinkler system installations of similar size and scope. Estimated dollar value of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Estimated issue date is 8/6/96. Estimated bid opening date is 9/6/96.
