(NIST) requires 10 ea. Germanium 311 single crystals. Dimensions:
Length-5.00 cm (+/-0.05 cm); height-2.00 cm (+0.00 cm/-0.05 cm);
thickness-1.00 cm (+/- 0.05 cm). 5 cm x 2 cm face is oriented to 311 to
+/- 1.0 degrees. 02-2 direction is 110 degrees off of long axis of
crystal (x-axis with 311 being +z axis) to +/- 5.0 degrees. Face used
for this orientation needs to be identified, as flip side of crystal
will be oriented to 70 degrees. N-type semiconductor. Supplied as cut,
no etching or polishing. Dislocation density less than 10,000/square
cm. Important parameter is parallelism of large (5 x 2 cm ) faces
parallel to +/- 0.01 inches. Call Keith Kennedy for diagram
incorporated as Attachment One. This is a combined synopsis and
solicitation for commerical items prepared in accordance with the
format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information
included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only
solicitation; NIST invites bids but shall not issue a written
invitation for bids. The solicitation document and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those effective through Federal Acquisition
Circular 38. All responsible businesses may bid. NIST requires
delivery 70 calendar days after contract award to National Institute of
Standards and Technology, Bldg 301-Receiving Room, I-270 and Quince
Orchard Rd., Gaithersburg, MD 20899-0001; FOB Destination. The
following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions, clauses and
addenda apply: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial; Bidders
shall also submit descriptive literature in accordance with 52.214-21,
Descriptive Literature. NIST shall evaluate bids submitted in response
to this invitation without discussions and award a contract to the
responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation, will be
most advantageous to NIST, considering only price and other
price-related factors. Bidders shall submit a completed copy of the
provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications --
Commercial Items, with their bid. The following additional clauses and
