Non-Agent Monitors (continuous emission monitoring system): Bechtel National Inc., acting as agent for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the Chemical Stockpile Disposal Program (CSDP), intends to competitively procure 27 Non-Agent Monitors for delivery to the Anniston CSDP Facility by 11 January 1998. As an option, the same quantity of Non-Agent Monitors may be procured for each of six (6) other CSDP facilities within United States. The Non-Agent Monitors includes the following analyzers: O2, CO, CO2, HCL, NOx and SOx. The O2 analyzers shall be in-situ type with zirconium-oxide sensor. The sensor will be mounted inside the duct and operate between 1,300 and 2,750 degrees F with alarm at 2,900 degrees F. The CO, CO2 and HCL analyzers shall be in-situ type, either hot bypass (for temperatures ranging from 1,800 to 2,700 degrees F.) or direct type (for temperatures ranging from 215 to 363 degrees F.), with infrared sensor. The NOx and SOx analyzers shall be in-situ type, with ultraviolet sensor, for temperatures at 220 degrees F. with a 185 degrees F. dew point. All analyzers shall be rack mounted and located in monitor houses up to 210 feet from the sensor. The analyzer system shall include a local recorder and provide a 4-20 mAdc output for remote indication and dry contacts for alarm and malfunction. This procurement is unrestricted with regard to business size. This notice will close ten days after publication.
