Mallgrave (301) 975-6330 The National Institute of Standards and Tecnology (NIST) has a requriement for an acoustical and electrical shielded room. This acoustical and RF electrically shielded room is required for sensitive measurement needs. The room shall be a planar-aneochic type with 8 inch thick wall system with acoustical Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating of 57 or better and have RF Tempest level electrical shielding with attenuation of 50dB or better from 1khz to 100 Mhz. The outside dimensions of the room shall be 20 feet 9 inches x 15 feet 5 inches x 12 feet 4 inches high. The contractor shall be required to provide and install this room in Building 220, Room B48 on the Gaithersburg, Maryland campus--FOB destination Gaithersburg, MD--Delivery and installation required by 12/01/96--Complete specifications shall be availble with the solicitation--all qualified sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency--Requests for the solicitation package should be in writing to the above address.
