accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif.96.215. 1. Member to

pages and language(s) of the notified document: Ordinance on Producers
Responsibility for Packaging. 6. Description of content: The Ordinance
on Producers' Responsibility for Packaging is intended to replace the
Ordinance (1994:1235) on Producers' Responsibility for Packaging, in
order to implement the above-mentioned Directive. The Ordinance
regulates producers' responsibility for packaging and packaging waste
and contains provisions concerning producers' responsibility in order
to obtain that packaging is reused, recovered or taken care of in other
environmentally sound manners. Moreover it regulates producers'
responsibility to facilitate appropriate collecting systems and to
inform households and other users of sorting, collecting and removal of
used packaging. 7. Objective and rationale: To implement the European
and Council Directive 94/62/EC of 20 December 1994 on packaging and
packaging waste. The suggested legislation shall due to Article 16 in
Directive 94/62/EC be notified due to the procedure in Directive
83/189/EEC and shall therefore be notified under both Directives within
