Courtney, Contracting Officer, (606) 253-8885. The Federal Bureau of
Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution Memphis, TN, has a
requirement for a Pharmacy Technician with at least one year of direct
experience and a high school diploma. The services required of the
contractor will include assisting others in filling prescriptions,
receiving pharmaceuticals, tracking inventory, holding pill lines, and
other duties inherent to the position. Services are to be performed at
FCI Memphis and the satellite camp, Federal Prison Camp, Millington,
TN. Due to the nature of this contract, all individuals working within
the institution will be required to submit to Security Clearances.
This will be a competitive procurement with award being made to the
offeror determined to be in the best interest of the Government, price
and other factors considered. These other factors include Past
Performance and Technical. Services will be required five days a week,
with an estimated 30 sessions per week (1 session = 1 hour) for an
estimated 1,560 sessions per year. The base year of the contract shall
run for twelve months from the date of award, with four (4) one year
option periods for renewal. It is anticipated solicitation packages
will be mailed approximately August 8, 1996, with an approximate due
date of September 8, 1996. It is anticipated this solicitation will
result in a Firm-Fixed Price, Requirements type contract. All
responsible sources may submit a bid which may be considered for award.
