Technician, 804/898-2340. Furnish all plant, labor, materials and
equipment to remove and replace Walk-in Cold Storage/Freezer Units, at
U. S. Coast Guard Reserve Training Center in Yorktwon, VA. The scope
of work includes furnishing temporary refrigeration trailers, removal
of existing refrigeration lines, removal of panelized refrigeration
rooms, removal of existing insulated concrete floors. The contractor
shall provide new insulated concrete flooring, pre-engineering cold
storage, refrigeration equipment and associated pipes and controls.
Contract performance time is 90 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
Bid issue date is o/a 13 August 1996. There is a non-refundable charge
for this solicitation. All requests for solicitation packages must be
in writing to the Contracting Officer (fcp-a), USCG Reserve Training
Center, Yorktown, VA 23690-5000 accompanied by a certified check,
cashier's check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard in the
amount of $10.00; no telephone requests for solicitation packages will
be accepted. One (1) pre-bid conference/site visit will be held o/a 27
August 1996, 1000 Hours (10.00 A.M.); reservations must be made through
the Procurement Technician at (804) 898-2340. This is an unrestricted
procurement per PL 100-656, Business Opportunity Development Reform Act
of 1988. Offers will be accepted from both large and small businesses.
For the purpose of determining size status, a small business is one
whose average annual receipts for the preceding three years does not
exceed $7.0 million (SIC 1711). All responsible sources may submit a
bid which shall be considered by the U.S. Coast Guard. ``This Notice
for information purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short-term working capital assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum credit line for credit is
