The project involves the conversion of existing gas fired steam boilers to hot water, remove all steam ancillary equipment including boiler feedwater pumps, condensate tank, water heater, unit heaters, radiators, and piping. Install new hot water, pumps, expansion tank, controls, and heaters. Replace existing air cooled chillers and remote condensers with new equipment. Route new refrigerant piping and provide new controls, piping and pumps. Replace all existing air handling units with new to include chilled water coils and hot water heating coils. Provide new DDC control systems. Remove roof mounted packaged air-conditioning units serving the second floor and provide a new variable air volume air handling system with an air handling unit, including new supply and return duct work, fanpowered variable air volume terminals and DDC controls. Extend new chilled water and hot water piping from central system to serve both air terminals and air handling units. Provide asbestos abatement on piping and other areas as noted. The project will be bid on the basis of a single prime contract. The estimated price range is between $680,000.00 and $740,000.00 with completion within 360 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Proposals are due by 4:00 PM on August 28, 1996.
