This is a modification to a March 12, 1996, synopsis for Retrofits, Failure Analysis, Repairs, and Modifications of PHOENIX AIM-54C Missiles and Components which appeared under Classification Code J announcing the agency's intention to procure on an other than full and open competitive basis. The previous announcement stated proposals would be sought only from Hughes Missile System Company and Raytheon Company. The procurement classification is revised to FSC 1425 and the basis of this procurement is revised from other-than-full-and- open-competition to a competitive, unrestricted basis. The agency anticipates award of a single, fixed-price, IDIQ contract with issuance of the initial Delivery Order concurrent with contract award. All deliveries shall FOB origin with the first delivery required approximately 90 days after receipt of the initial order. The contract period of performance will be one year from date of award with two one-year option periods. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency.
