636-4367 Potential source sought. The Coast Guard is seeking qualified
sources to consider in an award of a requirements contract for the
following: NSN: 2815-01-086-1402, Exhaust Manifold, P/N's 180781/ALT
P/N C10000 and NSN: 2815-01-127-6841, Exhaust Manifold P/N's 176732/ALT
P/N C10010. Delivery will be F.O.B. Destination to U.S. Coast Guard
Engineering Logistics Center, Curtis Bay, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000 -
Contract to be requirements, firm fixed price with one base year and
four (4) option years. It is the Government's belief that only Cummins
Engine Co. and/or Key Marine, Inc. or their authorized distributors
can provide the Exhaust Manifolds. However, other potential sources
having the expertise and required capabilities can submit such data
discussing the same in duplicate within 15 days from the date of this
announcement. The following information must be provided to evaluate
the acceptability of the offered Exhaust Manifolds: 1) Complete and
current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the
offered Exhaust Manifolds (i.e. salient physical, functional and
serviceability characteristics), or 2) Data that the offered Exhaust
Manifolds have been satisfactorily manufactured for the government or
the original equipment manufacturer. This notice is for informational
purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business
Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small
and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related
contract. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
