Brookhaven National Laboratory located approximately 60 miles East of New York City is hereby soliciting interested firms to participate in procurement of-Carriage Arm Assemblies (2) Large Tower Weldments with Base Plates. The Base dimension is: 13 ft. deep x 18 ft. wide x 20 inches high. The Tower dimensions are: 2 ft. wide by 7 ft. deep x 30 ft. high. The total weight per assembly, when finished will be approximately 50 tons. Assemblies to be fabricated, welded and machined from Hot Rolled Steel. Weldment must be stress relieved after welding. Welders must be qualified in accordance with AWS D1.1. All work must be performed at the bidders manufacturing location with the exception of the stress relieving operation. When responding to this announcement include documentation or a proven record showing capabilities to fabricate the above mentioned weldments. Complete specifications will be available only to Fabricators who have the appropriate manufacturing equipment. The approximate cost is $300,000 - $400,000.
