A -- STARS TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN PROGRAM CONSOLIDATION AND A3R MOTOR RETURN POC Dianne Trimble, Contract Specialist, CSSD-CM-CN/Linda N. Bentley, Contracting Officer, (205)955-1187. The U.S. Army Space and Strategic Defense Command (USASSDC) intends to enter into a noncompetitive contract for support in the acquisition, transportation, fielding, and operations of surplus Polaris A3 hardware including the return of A3R motors from the United Kingdom to the United States. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), this action is directed to Lockheed-Martin Missile Systems (LMMS). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, responses received from interested sources will be considered by the Government. All responses should be directed to CSSD-CM-CN/Dianne Trimble and must be received within fifteen (15) days from the publication date of this synopsis. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. (0206)
