Contact, Barbara Castillo, (505)842-3347 The USDA Forest Service (FS),
Region 3, plans to issue a noncompetitive contract with two option
years for personal services of a Native American Graves Protection and
Repatriation Act Inventory Coordinator. The FS believes because of the
complexity of this project and the extreme importance of the one-on-one
relationships established with museum officials and Indian tribes
across the country that Dr. Frank Wozniak, current contractor, is the
only source capable of: (1) the completion of the inventory and summary
of human remains, funerary objects, sacred objects of cultural
patrimony unerary objects, sacreunerary objects, sacrein archaeological
collections from the 11 National Forests in the Southwestern Region and
for the Bureau of Land Management lands in Arizona and New Mexico; (2)
consultation affiliation and repatriation; (3) repatriation of
materials, including notification of the Secretary of the Interior and
the NAGPRA Review Committee, coordination with museums and
repositories, and arrangements with Indian tribes and pueblos for
