Subject to funding limitations, an RFP will be issued for outreach, admissions and placement services to be provided for youth from the state of Nebraska during the period October 1, 1997, to September 30, 1998, for the Job Corps program. Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth, between the ages of 16-25. The program is designed to provide educational, vocational, avocational, support service, and job placement for all qualified applicants from the state of Nebraska. Resulting contract is cost reimbursement plus fixed fee for one year with four (4) one-year options to renew. Requirements for Job corps contracts are published in the Job Corps Policy and Requirements Handbook (PRH). The first copy is free and must be ordered from the Forms Distribution Center, Northern Texas Job Corps Center, P.O. Box 8003, McKinney, Texas 75069-8003. Requests for the PRH should be made on business letterhead and refer to Stock No. 96500. Actual issuance of the RFP will occur approximately 30 weeks prior to expiration of the current contract. The actual CBD notice and/or the RFP will normally cite specific dates applicable to the procurement. Businesses responding affirmatively to this notice with a written request to the Contracting Officer will be placed on the bidders mailing list to receive a copy of the RFP, 15 days after publication of the CBD notice.
