The Federal Correctional Complex, Florence, Colorado, is soliciting for optometry services for federal prisoners. Services consist of optometric evaluations including occular pressure testing and visual field testing, treatment recommendations and written prescriptions for visual refraction correction. The contractor must have a doctorate degree in medicine or osteopathy and be licensed to practice optometry in the state of Colorado. Board certification and experience in a correctional environment is preferred. Services will be provided at the Federal Correctional Complex in Florence, Colorado, which includes the Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp, United States Penitentiary, and Administrative Maximum Penitentiary. Services will be required for a one year base period, with four one-year option periods for a total of sixty months from the date of award. The estimated quantity for each 12 month period of the contract is 20 four-hour sessions per year. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a bid which will be considered for award.
