Freeman (216) 838-6091 The VAMC, Brecksville, OH, intends to negotiate sole source with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), of Oakbrook Terrace, IL, to render complete JCAHO functional survey process training for Fiscal Year 1997. Requirements shall include, but not be limited to: 1) Training shall parallel the JCAHO move to functional standards and a functional survey process; 2) Training shall provide and focus on activities for quality assessment and improvement, utilizing the same format, facility pool and materials as official JCAHO surveyor training; 3) Contractor shall provide to each participant, publications to include the 1997 Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals and comprehensive manuals or volumes I and II for home care, long term care and mental health; 4) Contractor shall be required to provide the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR), with updated materials for a period of twelve (12) months after the conclusion of training; 5) Contractor shall also include a subscription to Joint Commission Perspectives.
