Eglin AFB has a requirement to Construct Self-Help Store, Eglin AFB, FL. All labor, equipment and material required to construct a new self-help store at Eglin AFB, FL will be provided by the contractor. The work includes removal of existing sod, grass, topsoil, roots and similar items in the area of new construction, including areas to be paved. The work will provide for new concrete foundations and floor slab, providing new pre-engineered building frame with related steel items, providing dry-wall new interior partitions, acoustical ceilings, glazed tile in bathrooms, new floor finish as indicated, metal doors and frames, new overhead steel rolling doors and all other items indicated, specified or required to complete a finished usable facility. The work further includes air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work, utilities and interior finishes. Sitework, including carpeting, tile, entrance tile, fencing, grading, paving, fill, backfill, irrigation and landscaping are included in the project. Contract will be for a period of 180 calendar days. Bid opening of 16 Aug 96 is only an estimated date. Estimated dollar range is between $250,000 and $500,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Firms responding should indicate if they are a small business.
