REVISED NOTICE - Description of Work: Renovate five dormitories and construct a Central Utility Plant (CUP) at Pope Air Force Base, NC. Three of the dormitories (Buildings 282, 284, and 286) are the standard three-story rectangular structures with gang latrines. The remaining two dormitories (Buildings 276 and 288) are three-story modular L-shaped structures. The renovation will consist of constructing several suites within each building which provide two individual sleeping areas and shared baths and kitchenettes in each suites. Each dorm will have laundry facilities, a day room, and a dorm manager's office. The renovation will be complete, replacing fire, electrical, mechanical systems, and a new standing seam metal roof. The exterior of the three rectangular dorms will require lighting, architectural brick, and exterior balconies and entrances to the suites. The L-shaped dorms currently have balconies and exterior entrances but will require a new standing seam metal roof and the open area between the legs of the L-shape to be enclosed to one story. The three rectangular dorms will be demolished to the basic structural frame. The exterior walls of the L-shaped dorms are load bearing and comprise part of the structural support of the building. The central utility plant will house two 285-ton chillers, a boiler, and necessary controls and pipe to supply heating and cooling to the five dormitories. Network Analysis System will be required. Estimated cost range of project is from $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. Charge for solicitation documents is $120. Make check payable to F&A Officer.
