On or about Thursday, July 25, 1996, the United States Postal Service, Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT, 06006-0300, will issue Solicitation No. 082530-96-A-0155 to complete a repointing and waterproofing project at the Main Post Office, Two Government Center, Fall River, Massachusetts. Sealed offers are due on or before Tuesday, August 27, 1996 NLT 4:00 p.m. EST. The estimated cost of the work is between $150,000.00 and $350,000.00. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING OF THE PROPOSALS AND THE RESULTS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED UNTIL AWARD OF THE PROJECT. There will be a pre-proposal meeting on Wednesday, August 14, 1996 beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the Main Post Office, Two Government Center, Fall River to discuss the specifics of this project. Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly recommended. Site visits may be arranged by contacting George Camera, Manager of Maintenance at (508) 675-7438. Work includes but is not limited to providing all materials, labor and equipment required to complete a repointing and waterproofing project in accordance with detailed plans and specifications. Planned construction starting date is approximately September 15, 1996 and completion January of 1997. A proposal guarantee is not required. Performance and payment bonds on Postal Service forms will be required from the successful offeror. Proposal documents and specifications (including specifics relative to basis for contract award) may be purchased for $25.00 per set from the Support Service Team, Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT, 06006-0300.
