Z -- PAINT HANGAR FLOORS AT BUILDINGS 194 & 200 Sol FA6648-96-B0007, contact point, Billie Jo Cherico, (305) 224-7473. Scope of Work consists painting the hangar floors for buildings 194 and 200 at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Dade County, Homestead, Florida, located approximately thirty miles south of Miami, FL. Work includes painting existing concrete floors in the two hangars. Approximately 11,402 SF in 194 and 16,187 SF in 200. Paint is a seamless, non-skid, water and oil proof, chemically and heavy traffic resistant with a light gray epoxy, quartz based paint. Existing painted surface has to be water pressure cleaned, shot blast, to prepare for the new surface treatment. Surface preparation shall also include necessary repairs of any cracks before the epoxy base system application. New paint has to protect the ground beneath from soaking up fuel, grease and oil released from the aircraft. Floor drains shall be temporarily plugged to prevent any debris resulting from the existing floor surface preparation work and or new surface treatment application from entering the drainage system. Such debris shall be collected, containerized, and properly disposed of at a licensed off-base disposal facility. The SIC Code is 1799. Magnitude of construction is $100,000 to $250,000. Project performance period is 20 calendar days. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 06 Aug 96.
