Construction of a new Band Training Facility and minor renovation to Meade Hall. The new facility will contain band rehearsal halls, recording studios, telecommunications, fire alarm, rest rooms, and other support areas. The facility requires specialized acoustical treatment for walls, doors, floors and ceilings. Site improvements include grading, landscaping, water hook-up, storm drainage, paving, walks, and curbs. Minor renovation to part of Meade Hall includes demolition of interior partition walls, construction of new partition walls, provision of new ceiling in specific areas, provision for finishes for floor, base, walls, and ceiling in specific areas, replacement of existing lighting fixtures and provision for new lighting fixtures, relocation of handicapped lift, addition of HVAC to basement and other specific areas, addition of one new elevator. Removal of the following will be required: two boilers and associated piping with asbestos containing insulation, and associated piping with asbestos containing insulation, and removal of lead based paint in the basement and other floors. Standard Industrial Code is 1542, size standard is $17 million. Estimated cost of proposed maintenance is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Project completion no later than 547 calendar days after issuance of award. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Agency.
