This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, F25600-96-Q6315, is issued as a Request for Quotation. This is a notice of the Government's intent to purchase, on a sole source basis, 30 each Load Sharing Facility Software, Version 2.2 (must work with Solaris 2.5.1) and 12 months of Load Sharing Facility Software support. Delivery is required within 30 days, or sooner. Items shall be delivered F.O.B. destination to USSTRATCOM/J6613, LeMay Bldg, Rm 2H29, Offutt AFB NE 68113-6600. Acceptance will be made at the same location. Offers are due not later than the close of business, (4:00 p.m. CDST) on 9 August 1996, in the 55th Contracting Squadron Specialized Flight, 901 SAC Blvd, Ste 1E16, Offutt AFB, NE 68113-5640. The following provisions/clauses apply to this solicition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation--Commercial Items (paragraph (a) of the provision reads: (1) technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement, (2) price, and (3) delivery terms); FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items (clauses a1, a2, bl, b2, b5, b6, b7, b8, and b9 apply); and DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (clauses 252.205-7000, 252.225-7001, 252.225-7012, 252.225-7014, 252.227-7015, 252.227-7037, 252.233-7000 and 252.249-7001 apply).
