The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following Distributed Sensor Simulation System as manufactured by Logicon Inc: p/n 140-A1080, Reference Document LGN 140-01-001 to include three (3) NTDS Parallel Interface Boards for supporting either MIL-STD-1397B NTDS-A (slow) or NTDS-B MIL-STD-1397B NTDS-E (low level serial) interface (1 each). The Distributed Sensor Simulation System is a workstation-based weapon system stimulator. The Government requires a system that simulates the interface data traffic for multiple sensor interfaces using a common environment. The system must provide high-fiedlity simulations of air and surface track motions and of sensor platform orientation. The system must model environmental effects such as clutter, chaff, jamming and debris. The Government requires a system that must track motions and environmental effects that can be specified either by operator action, scripted, or externally using a DIS-like protocol. The system must concurrently provide either the same or different environments to multiple weapon systems. This Distributed Sensor Simulation System has been designed to be modular, easily reconfigurable, and by using a distributed workstation architecture with standardized interfaces to common functions, scaleable to meet future simulation needs of the Government. Award is to be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
