NASA intends to acquire the following requirement on a sole-source basis from Excalibur Technologies, Vienna, VA, because Excalibur has proprietary rights to the software and there is no practical way of obtaining the services from any other source. The work will involve maintenance of the Assisted Search for Knowledge (ASK) software prototype during evaluation by the Data Management Working Group of the Committee on Environmental and Natural Resources, including maintenance of the file server, elimination of software defects, updating data content, collection of user statistics, upgrading of indices and interfaces, and development of baseline and technical documentation.
