The existing operating mechanism shall be replaced with a spring-charged type. HYDRAULIC OPERATIONS OF ANY TYPE ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS MUST CALL OR WRITE, AND REQUEST A STATEMENT OF WORK. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERICAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE HEREBY REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED (EXCEPT FOR A STATEMENT OF WORK, TO BE FAXED OR MAILED UPON REQUEST). This solicitation, No. 52SBNB6C9196 is a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions & clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 33. The associated Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this procurement is 8711, and the small business size standard is $2,500,000. The Government anticipates award of a fixed-price type contract. Contract line item number (CLIN) 0001 is all labor and materials to convert an air magnetic circuit breaker existing interrupter to a vacuum-type interruption. The quantity for CLIN 0001 is five (5). Performance is to be complete within 60 calendar days from the date of award. Contractor shall be responsible for pick-up of the circuit breakers from NIST, and delivery of the finished product FOB Destination to NIST, Building 301 RECEIVING, Gaithersurg, MD 20899-0001.
