The Tax Division, a litigating division of the Dept. of Justice, presently employs a Case Management System to track, manage and assess the caseload of the Division, including attorney and staff utilization. This system resides on an IBM AS/400 (Model D45). The Tax Division desires to undertake a thorough examination of its need for an improved enterprise information system (EIS). This examination would encompass but not be limited to: (1) Determination and assessment of EIS requirements, (2) Evaluation and recommendations regarding the legacy IBM system, (3) Analysis and presentation of technology options, and (4) Development of a comprehensive technology plan to guide implementation. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS -- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. Interested sources may respond with (1) their firm's qualifications and experience sufficient to determine capability, (2) a sample project plan and/or methodology that was employed in a similar study, and (3) an indication whether these services can be obtained from an existing government contract.
