The project consists of a base bid and three optional bid items. Base bid includes the removal of existing roofing including asbestos containing roofing materials, patching of existing gypsum roof panels and installation of new roofing system, repair of existing parapet walls and exterior painting of building. Optional bid items consists of repair bay lights, upgrade electrical, replace heat with infrared radiant heat, asbestos removal, renovations of classroms, replace HVAC. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 1542. The applicable small business size standard including affiliates is no more than $17 million average revenue for the previous three years. Construction time will be 180 calendar days for base bid, and if all optional bid items are awarded the complete project will be 365 calendar days. Estimated cost range for the base bid is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Estimated cost range for all bid items is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This requirement is subject to the availability of funds. Estimated issuance date is 19 August 1996 and opening date is 19 September 1996.
