Dawson (502) 798-7857 (Site Code DAKF23) Provide all materials, labor and equipment to renovate an existing ventilation system and perform minor modifications to the plumbing and electrical systems of an existing battery shop at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Work is as follows: remove existing roof mounted exhaust fan, hot water unit heater and service sink; remove one motor operated air intake damper assembly and fill in opening with 8'' fire rated concrete block; install two exhaust hoods and associated ductwork; extend existing heating and ventilation ductwork into battery changing areas; install duct mounted hot water coil and combination fire/smoke damper; install hot water piping, control valves, manual valves; install a work sink with drain board, acid neutralization basin and dry chemical fire extinguishers; extend existing hot and cold water services to sink; extend 208 volt and 120 volt circuits within this space; install new 120 volt circuits for miscellaneous mechanical equipment, exhaust hood lights and receptacles; and replace existing 120 volt and 208 volt receptacles with explosion-proof type equipment. SIC is 1542/$17 million. Performance period is 90 calendar days. Estimated construction range is $25,000 to $100,000. Sealed bid procedures shall be used to award the contract. Anticipated award date is September 15, 1996. This acquisition is issued under the ''Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988'' and subsequent award shall be made pusuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program; therefore, this solicitation is unrestricted.
