Carney, Contracting Officer, (617) 232-9500, Ext. 5536 Contractor shall be required to provide all labor, equipment and supervision necessary to provide for the implementation of water conservation measures in order to bring the Boston VA Medical Center into full compliance with various Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) regulations. Among others, these measures shall include the total elimination of uncontaminated cooling water discharge from the domestic water system into the sanitary sewer system, to provide a water recirculation system for the water seal system on the medical air compressors and vacuum pumps and provide chilled water from the medical center's chilled water plant. All work shall be performed according to plans and specifications. The cost range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Contract award is subject to the availability of funds. Requests for the solicitation package must be in writing. No phoned or faxed requests will be accepted. Bid packages will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis. Standard industrial code 1711 applies. The issue date is on or about August 13, 1996, and the bid opening date is scheduled for September 13, 1996, at 11:00 a.m. local time. (0207)
