The U.S. ARMY COMMUNICATIONS ELECTRONICS COMMAND, RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT AND ENGINEERING CENTER, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING DIRECTORATE (CECOM RDEC SED) is pleased to announce that a catalog of CECOM RDEC SED weapon system software is now available on the World Wide Web. It can be accessed through SED's Home Page at ''http:\\www.sed.monmouth.army.mil'' or the Army Reuse Center's Home Page at ''http:\\arc_www.belvoir.army.mil''. The purpose of this catalog is to provide an index to deployed Army software which potentially can be reused in part or in full for the development/evolution of other systems. The catalog contains descriptions of software used in Mission Critical Defense Systems supported by the CECOM RDEC SED, and is organized by system functional area, ie., communications, avionics, command and control, intelligence/electronic warfare, tactical fusion, and fire support. An overall system functional description, computer hardware platform identification, and software host environment is provided for the selected system. This information is followed by a list of Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCIs)/Computer Program Configuration Items (CPCIs). Subsequent selection of an individual CSCI/CPCI will provide additional detailed information regarding the functionality, programming language, and size of that system component. The catalog's home page contains instructions for qualified parties who may wish to acquire copies of available software. (0208)
