Project title: Purchase and Install Sunshades. Work consists of purchasing and installing Ulta Violet Sun Screen Canopy Protectors at various locations at Holloman AFB, New Mexico. The locations are as follows: Bldg 790 - 36' x 40' x 9' high structure, 40' haxagon x 10' canopy, 17' x 36' x 8' high canopy, two (2) interconnected 20' x 27 x 9' high canopies; Bldg 650 - 23' x 23' x 10' canopy, 27' x 36' x 10'' high canopy, 10' x 26' x 8' high structure, 18' x 25' x 8' high canopy; Bldg 647 - interconnecting 30' x 40' x 11' high canopies, interconnecting 30' x 40 x 15'; Bldg 771 - 40' hexagon x 9' high canopy; Bldg 792 - 18' x 18' x 8' high canopy. Shade canopies must be able to provide 20-30% reduction in heat and withstand 85 mph winds. The cover must provide up to 91% UV-B blockout and up to 83% shade. The support structures will be made of UBC rated, ASTM-A 500, or ASTM-A 513 allied gatorshield galvanized steel. The steel will be electrostatic polyester powdercoated with a double coat based on polyester TGIC, minimum of 4 mils thick and cured at 400 degrees farenheit. The cover material must be polyethylene construction with UV inhibitors, mono filament fibers with tape fillers. All concrete work will meet American Concrete Institute Building Code 318-89, 2000 PSI @ 28 days with a slump of 3'' - 5''. We will hold a site visit at least 7 days after publication of this notice where will will provide a complete RFQ package. Quotations will be due 15 days after publication of this notice. We will use written quotations under simplified acquisition procedures. Estimated site visit date is 5 Aug 96 and estimated award date is 14 Aug 96.
