INTERESTED IN THE DESIGN/BUILD OF A U.S. POSTAL SERVICE OWNED FACILITY,
MAIN POST OFFICE, WELLINGTON OH 44090-9998. Solicitation

Specialist, (410) 997-6241. Design/Construct an approx. 6,500 sq. ft.
Customer Service Postal Facility. A drawing, specification and disk
package will be furnished to the selected design/build team. The scope
work is to complete design/engineering from 30% complete to 100% and
to construct a new approximately 6,500 sq. ft. main post office
building on a 2.00 acre site. Work includes a retail store, workroom,
loading dock and equipment, support areas. The building will be
constructed using a wood frame, full brick face exterior walls,
concrete slab on grade, composition tile roofs, open loading areas,
metal stud and gypsum board interior partitions and acoustical
ceilings. Complete plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems will include
mechanical equipment room (system), power, lighting, and alarm systems,
two security camera systems, and fully sprinkled and fire protection
systems as required by local code and USPS requirements. Also included
in the development of the 2.00 acre site is parking for customers,
employees, postal vehicles, loading dock maneuvering area, mail drop
box area and complete landscaping, fencing and signage, site
development includes paying/obtaining all permits, tap connections and
utility connections and utility connections/development. The estimated
price range is between $500,000.00 and $900,000.00 with completion
within 270 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. To be
considered responsive the contractor/proposer must have a minimum of
5 years as a general contractor and previous design build experience.
Other requirements include the following: (1) Successful completion and
favorable references for similar projects; (2) Financial stability. The
proposals will be evaluated in the areas listed in descending order of
importance: (1) cost/price, (2) proposed schedule for design and
construction, (3) previous experience, (4) references, (5) financial
stability and the award will be made on the offer determined to be in
the best interest of the Postal Service. Proposals are due by 4:00 PM
on September 03, 1996. Plans and specifications will be available on or
about August 02, 1996 at a cost of $85.00 per set, Non-Refundable. Make
