Williams, Purchasing Specialist, 901/747-7655 The project consists of furnishing manpower, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform the work as follows: The USPS requires the expansion of an existing pallet dock and industrial type building, for additional building area of approximately 73,000 Gross Square Feet (GSF). The single story building expansion will require a concrete foundation to elevate a slab on grade to the existing finish floor elevation, with an exterior wall and canopy section similar to the existing pallet dock. The north and south elevation of the expansion will include the addition of approximately thirty-two (32) new dock levelers and overhead doors. Selective demolition will be required of exit doors, overhead doors, and both CMU and precast concrete type walls between the existing building and new expansion. The expansion will cause the relocation and replacement of any displaced parking or storage area. The pave truck queuing area of approximately 150,000 GSF and the gravel storage lot for empty trailers and overflow parking are subject to relocation. The USPS will consider any proposed type of construction provided that the Initial and life cycle costs and aesthetic appearance considered in the evaluation of proposals. The work is to be performed at the Cincinnati, Ohio, Bulk Mail Center in accordance with plans and specifications. The issue date for the above project is July 24, 1996. The return date for the above project is August 30, 1996. The performance Time is 270 days. The estimated Cost Range is $3,500,000. to $4,500,000. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for August 14, 1996, at 1:30 PM at the facility in the PEDC Conference room on the Third Floor. A walk-through will immediately follow.
