Construction of a new 20,000 square foot facility which incorporates all phases of general construction. The proposed facility shall be steel framed with brick veneer. There is typical mechanical, electrical and plumbing work along with interior finishes, millwork and graphics. The site work will include, but not necessarily be limited to, grading, concrete paving, utilities, subsurface drainage, landscaping and irrigation. The site is located on the west side of Hampton Road to the north of the intersection between Hampton Road and Highway 67 in Dallas. Estimated cost range $1,900,000-$2,200,000 and construction time is 270 calendar days. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned and Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total value of its subcontracts. A 20% proposal bond is required on all proposals. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% performance and 50% payment bonds within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of award. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 pm on August 22, 1996.
