Saint Louis, Contracting Officer, 304/636-1800 The George Washington & Jefferson National Forests anticipate contracting for the repair of embankment sloughing at the Fortney Boat Launch in the Lake Moomaw Recreation Area, James River Ranger District, Alleghany County, Virginia. The project consists of placing approximately 490 square yards of geotextile fabric mat and 780 tons of riprap with a maximum weight of 150 pounds. Work will take place this fall when the water level of Lake Moomaw is below the construction limits. The estimated cost for the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. All responsible offerors are encouraged to submit quotations. (207)
