It is the declared and acknowledged intention and meaning of this solicitation to renovate the existing dining and galley spaces on the first floor of building 500 into a multi-purpose room, a library with kitchenette, a nursery room, a classroom, a unisex restroom, and storage rooms. The work includes demolition of stud walls, masonry walls; removal of floor finishes, wall finishes, ceilings, doors, windows; removal/modifications to electrical systems; removal of heating units, pneumatic controls, piping for hot and cold water lines; removal or related piping, drains, traps, vent lines; removal of galley equipment including hoods and sinks; asbestos insulation removal; installation of metal stud and gypsum wall board partitions, a ''cathedral'' ceiling, acoustical tile celings, carpet and vinyl tile flooring, painted wall finishes, doors, windows, lighting, heating, plumbing, telephone jacks, an audio system with microphones and speakers, a fire alarm system and incidental related work at the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station Cutler, Maine.
