Jewett,816/9 26-5317 Pre-Invitation Notice for DFAS Office Conversion, Federal Building No. 1, 1500 East Bannister Road, Kansas City, MO. Job PCN RMO96730. IFB o/a 8/19/96. Estimated Cost Range: $1,000,000-$5,000,000. Time for completion: 9 months after receipt of notice to proceed. No document charge or deposit is required. Project involves a Base Bid and 2 Options. Base Bid - Renovate 24,760 sq. ft. of existing interior storage space (approximately 25 ft. from floor to roof), as required, to convert to an office. The office shall have new Air Handling Units (complete with support platform, piping and ductwork), expand existing fire sprinkler piping, new T-bar dropped ceiling, furred out walls and columns (with sheet rock), an access floor system, fluorescent light fixtures and low voltage switching. Carpet tiles for the access floor shall be Government furnished and Contractor installed. Option No. 1 - Provide all new material and work required within columns 19 to 20 and from column J to the existing wall (located 16 ft. north of column L). The area for the option work equals approximately 3,840 sq. ft. of floor space. Option No. 2 - Provide all sheet rock walls, wall treatment, associated doors, door frames, door hardware and wall switches for numerous new offices and conference rooms.
