The work includes that shown on the drawings and these specifications, summarized as: (a) Installation of a new 300 horsepower air compressor with a motor starter. (b) Demolition of sufficient piping to allow the new compressor to be connected to the air system. (c) Installation of a concrete foundation for the new compressor. (d) Relocation of the existing oil/moisture eliminator. (e) Installation of four (4) new refrigerated air dryers. Provide piping to allow one air dryer to be connected directly to one air compressor and allow a bypass between units for maintenance and redundancy. (f) Installation of a new horizontal air receiver tank and piping to connect it to the new air compressor. (g) Installation of new structural steel (above the roof) to support the four (4) new air dryers and one new air receiver tank. (h) Installation of new electrical service to the new air compressor and four (4) new air dryers. (i) Installation of multiple moisture traps and condensate drains for the air systems within the utility tunnel under Building 2200. (j) Installation of multiple moisture blowdown stations for the air system within Building 2200. Estimated cost is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
