201-724-4012. The U.S. Army has a requirement for a contractor to
manufacture, assemble and deliver 169,156 120mm Mortar XM931 Full Range
Practice Cartridges (FRPC) and 1,000 sets of components. The XM931 FRPC
production unit cost must be no more than 75% of the production unit
cost of the M934 cartridge. In addition, the cartridge must be
ballistically similar to the M934 HE cartridge, match the M934
cartridge in weight, simulate the M734A1 fuze settings and provide
audible and visual feedback to forward observers out to 3,000 meters.
The U.S. Army ARDEC intends to award this contract to Pocal Industries,
Inc., Scranton, PA. See numbered Note 22. Information regarding this
