The government intends to procure the following requirement as a sole source acquisition from Seyer Industries Inc., 66 Patmos Ct, St Peters MO 63166: A portable liquid coolant service unit (Qty 3). This is a self-contained unit, with pumping and filtering capability, for servicing and purging of the liquid cooling system. It is capable of storing, transporting, and dispensing the liquid coolant solution. The unit consists of a hand pump, reservoir, and associated hoses and adapters. The hand pump will deliver approximately 4.5ci of fluid per stroke. The reservoir is made of aluminum, will store approximately one gallon of fluid, and is equipped with a sight gage, fill spout, and a filtered breather element. It is portable, durable, and highly maneuverable. The unit is 16'' long, 16'' wide, 16'' high, and weighs approximately 65lbs. These items will be delivered to Edwards AFB. Seyer Industries was selected as the source for this procurement because these items are normally purchased by Air Force Depots; however, these items are not in the depot inventory at this time. Therefore, authorization has been given to go directly to the vendor. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used in awarding this contract. The anticipated award date is 12 Aug 96.
