The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking potential sources for a 19'' rack mountable Digital to Analog convertor. The convertor must have at least 8 separate input/output channels and be capable of receiving standard image files in CCITT group 3 T.4 format including PCX. Each digital input must have a minimum 20Meg buffer and handle input speeds from 300 - 9.6bps. Each output must be an Analog FSK audio output in the following format: 1900Hz offset frequency with +/- 425Hz shift, 520 scans per minute and emission class of 4KJ3C. Each audio output must also be adjustable from 0 to -16db. No solicitation document exists. Requests for such a document shall be considered as invalid responses. Firms are required to address the following in response to this sources sought: (1) a description of your firm's capabilities that demonstrate the ability to satisfy the requirement; (2) whether the item that would be offered by your firm meets the definition of a commercial item as defined by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 2.101; (3) whether your firm is a manufacturer or regular dealer as defined by Part 22.6 of the FAR; (4) your planned interest in this effort; (5) your firm's name, address, point of contact and phone number; (6) firms shall indicate their business size.
