The National Naval Medical Center has a requirement for the Management Information Department. NNMC intends to award a sole sourced maintenance contract to Cabletron Systems, Inc. for the period 1 Oct 1996 through 30 Sept 1997 to include telephone technical support, firmware upgrades and on-site engineering response. This enables the continued support of the CHCS/LAN/MED-OA (Composite Healthcare System/Local Area Network/Medical Office Automation) system. Cabletron Systems, Inc. is the manufacturer of the communications signal repeaters. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).
