This is an amendment, A0001, to the synopsis/solicitation N00421-96-R-1145 for Color Display Units originally published in the CBD on Monday, July 8, 1996 (Issue Number PSA-1631). The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions from potential offerors. QUESTIONS SUBMITTED BY POTENTIAL OFFERORS: Question#1: Would the Navy consider a fixed frequency monitor at 1280 x 1024 resolution for a price of approximately $15,000? ANSWER#1: No.The units shall be the BRAND NAME OR EQUALto BARCO Mil-tailored color display MPRD 9874. QUESTION#2: Would the Navy consider a monitor which provides the same display characteristics of the MPRD 9874, without the added cost associated with the extended feature set of the BARCO unit. The closing date shall remain the same, 8 August 1996. All other terms and conditions shall remain the same unless changed by subsequent amendment. (0211)
