Q -- OPTOMETRIST SERVICES SOL RFP 128-0212 DUE 081596 POC Curtis A. Courtney, Contracting Officer, (606) 253-8885. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution Memphis, TN, has a requirement for a Licensed and Board Certified Optometrist. The contractor shall provide diagnostic and treatment recommendations of programs for inmate patients referred by Medical Staff, as well as all other inherent functions. These services are required at FCI Memphis, as well as the satellite camp, Federal Prison Camp, Millington, TN. Due to the nature of this contract, all individuals working within the institution will be requried to submit to Security Clearances. This will be a competitive procurement with award being made to the offeror determined to be in the best interest of the Government, price and other factors considered. The other factors include Past Performance and Technical. Services will be required approximately 6 sessions per week (1 session = 1 hour), for an estimated 312 sessions per year. The base year of the contract shall run for twelve months from date of award, with four (4) one year option periods for renewal. Solicitation packages will be mailed approximately August 15, 1996, with an approximate due date of September 15, 1996.
